bwForCluster ENM pre (codename "NEMO") started December 2nd, 2014 as a testbed and technology preview for the forthcoming bwForCluster ENM.

Hardware

We are running "NEMO" (bwForCluster ENM pre) on the salvagable parts of old the bwGRiD hardware.

We use the bwForCluster entitlement for the access of NEMO. See Access.

Due to the age of the hardware, components may fail. If your jobs are mission critical, we advise you to use the bwUniCluster.

If your scientific domain happens to be Theoretical Chemistry, you are also eligible to use the forthcoming bwForCluster JUSTUS in Ulm.

Nonwithstanding the lack of any guarantees: We will make a best effort to keep things running.

We cannot guarantee that the cluster will be stable or that everything will work out of the box.

In fact, we will regulary have to break things to ensure that everything works out of the box once we have the new hardware.
